1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Sahaj (sahajapp.in), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access or use the service.

2. Description of Service

Sahaj provides GST tracking, AI-powered receipt scanning, Input Tax Credit (ITC) management, and export tools designed for Indian freelancers and small businesses.

Important: Sahaj is NOT a Chartered Accountant (CA) or tax advisor. The service provides tools to help you organise your GST data. It does not constitute tax advice. Always consult a qualified tax professional for filing decisions.

3. Account Registration

You register for Sahaj via Google sign-in through Firebase Authentication. By creating an account, you agree to:

• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
• Provide accurate business information, including your GSTIN and business name
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

4. Free and Paid Plans

Sahaj offers the following plans:

• Free: 10 AI receipt scans per month, unlimited manual entries
• Basic (₹249/month): 100 AI receipt scans per month, unlimited manual entries
• Pro (₹499/month): 300 AI receipt scans per month, unlimited manual entries

Annual plans are available at a discounted rate. Payments are processed securely by Dodo Payments. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard; access will continue until the end of the current billing period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Sahaj for fraudulent tax reporting or to generate false GST claims
• Upload illegal, offensive, or harmful content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the service
• Use automated tools to scrape or overload the service
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to Sahaj
• Impersonate another person or business

6. Intellectual Property

The Sahaj name, logo, design, and underlying code are the intellectual property of Sahaj and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not use our branding without prior written permission.

Your data — including receipts, business information, and GST records — remains yours. We do not claim ownership over any content you upload or create within Sahaj.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of Sahaj is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using Sahaj, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Receipt Scanning Accuracy

Sahaj uses AI-powered optical character recognition (OCR) to extract data from receipts. While we strive for high accuracy, OCR technology may produce errors, especially with low-quality images, handwritten text, or unusual invoice formats.

You are responsible for verifying all scanned data before using it for GST filing or any other purpose. Sahaj provides a review step after every scan to allow you to correct any errors.

9. Limitation of Liability

Sahaj is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sahaj and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Incorrect tax calculations or ITC amounts
• Missed GST filing deadlines
• Financial losses, penalties, or interest arising from use of the service
• Errors in AI-powered receipt scanning
• Service interruptions or data loss

Sahaj is not a substitute for professional tax advice. Always consult a qualified Chartered Accountant or tax professional for your GST filing and compliance needs.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the service. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination, except in cases of serious violations.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at the email address below. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Sahaj after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Sahaj shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
