Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview
This policy applies to all subscriptions purchased through Sahaj (sahajapp.in). Please read it carefully before purchasing a paid plan.
2. Free Plan
The Sahaj Free plan requires no payment and includes 10 AI receipt scans per month with unlimited manual entries. Since no payment is involved, there are no refund implications for the Free plan.
3. Subscription Cancellation
You can cancel your Basic or Pro subscription at any time from your Sahaj dashboard. Upon cancellation:
- You retain access to all paid features until the end of your current billing period
- No further charges will be made after the current period ends
- After the billing period ends, your account automatically reverts to the Free plan
- Your data (receipts, ITC records, business information) is preserved and remains accessible on the Free plan
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing cycle. There is no partial-period cancellation — you always get what you paid for.
4. Refund Policy
Since Sahaj offers a generous free plan that allows you to evaluate the service before purchasing, we generally do not offer refunds for paid subscriptions.
However, we understand that exceptional circumstances arise. We will consider refund requests in the following cases:
- Billing error: You were charged incorrectly or charged after cancelling
- Technical issue: A verified technical problem on our end prevented you from using the service for an extended period
- Duplicate charge: You were charged more than once for the same billing period
To request a refund, contact us within 7 days of the charge. Refunds, if approved, will be processed within 5-10 business days through the original payment method (Dodo Payments).
5. Annual Subscriptions
Annual subscriptions are non-refundable after 14 days from the date of purchase. Within the first 14 days:
- You may request a full refund if you have not used more than 10 AI scans during the period
- If you have used more than 10 AI scans, a partial refund may be offered at our discretion, minus the value of scans used at the monthly plan rate
After 14 days, annual subscriptions will not be refunded. You may still cancel at any time, and your access will continue until the end of the annual billing period.
